RF Antenna Design / Waveguide Electromagnetics Engineer

 

Optisys continues to grow with metal 3D printed antenna technology.

Exciting applications on fielded systems include:

-      Communications antennas for Lunar landers, Mars Orbiter, Venus Orbiters

-      UAV radar

-      Commercial Inflight Connectivity (IFC) SATCOM

-      Line-Of-Sight (LOS) UAV communications

We are looking for an antenna designer who designs RF components with waveguide technology in the 1 to 100 GHz frequency range.

We prefer an expertise in HFSS with recent experience OR an expertise in CST. 

This role is for an individual who is open to additional learning and would relish the opportunity to immerse themselves in both project work and deeper RF theory to support our extensive IRAD activities.

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. The successful candidate will directly report to the CTO.

Mechanical Engineer III

We are seeking someone who can quickly learn how to design for our particular additive manufacturing process and product set. They will need to document the design and process such that it is robust and can produce repeatable, successful results.

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. This role will report to the COO and is located at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake City, UT.

 

This is an opportunity to work on the leading edge of metal 3D printed antennas, which are a novel class of antennas that allow for pushing the limits of what physics allows in antenna design. Optisys antennas can be found all around the world and out of this world in space. This position requires creativity and exploration of difficult design challenges to solve problems.

 

Requirements include:
Current US Citizenship or Current Permanent Green Card Holder
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years work experience as a Mechanical Engineer

 

Key qualifications include:
Demonstrated experience with mechanical design and documentation of aerospace components and systems

 

Geographic Requirement:
Availability needed to work onsite at Optisys UT Headquarters.

Program Manager 

Optisys, a leader in metal additively manufactured antennas, is growing. We are working with the largest aerospace companies in the world to provide mission-critical antennas for apace, aircraft, and ground vehicles. Our products connect the earth to missions on Mars, Venus, and the Moon, provide in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity for commercial airlines, and provide SATCOM connections for the most demanding military ground platforms. We are looking for program managers to help us collaborate with our customers and engineering teams to deliver antennas for the most demanding applications.

 

Hands-on experience is needed to manage products and projects with high volume outsourced manufacturing,

The Optisys Program Manager is responsible for meeting customer and business objectives by leading matrix teams and managing projects. 

 

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. This role is located at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake City, UT, and reports to the Director of Programs.

Requirements include:
Current US Citizenship or Current Permanent Green Card Holder
BS Degree with 5 years work experience as a Program Manager 

 

Key qualifications include:
Demonstrated experience managing geographically distributed teams
Experience with contract and project management using ERP systems Epicor, SAP, Costpoint or similar
Experience with project management tools:
- MS Project (with waterfall and agile projects)
- Kanban and Scrum agile tools like Jira, Trello, and Microsoft Planner

 

Geographic Requirement:
Availability needed to work onsite at Optisys UT Headquarters. Hybrid work from home schedule can be considered with a proven track record of success for remote work.
