RF Antenna Design / Waveguide Electromagnetics Engineer

 

Optisys continues to grow with metal 3D printed antenna technology.

Exciting applications on fielded systems include:

-      Communications antennas for Lunar landers, Mars Orbiter, Venus Orbiters

-      UAV radar

-      Commercial Inflight Connectivity (IFC) SATCOM

-      Line-Of-Sight (LOS) UAV communications

We are looking for an antenna designer who designs RF components with waveguide technology in the 1 to 100 GHz frequency range.

We prefer an expertise in HFSS with recent experience OR an expertise in CST. 

This role is for an individual who is open to additional learning and would relish the opportunity to immerse themselves in both project work and deeper RF theory to support our extensive IRAD activities.

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. The successful candidate will directly report to the CTO.

Process Engineer 


Optisys is maturing and growing. As our business is expanding, we are seeking a Process Engineer as Optisys doubles in size and production capabilities. Optisys is pushing the envelope of what can be done with additive manufacturing.

The Optisys Process Engineer is responsible for working with our Major Suppliers to Out-Source Production. The Process Engineer designs and documents the In-House Production Processes while producing EDM and LRIP Units. Some Travel is required.

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. This role is located at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake City, UT and reports to the Director of Operations.

Key qualifications include:
Demonstrated experience with Process Engineering  (Aerospace Industry experience is a plus)
Design and Document Optisys Development and Production Processes
Train / Mentor Team Members in dynamic Production Processes

Lead Technician 

The Optisys Lead Technician is responsible for improving the shop performance of Optisys Processes as the company grows with a focus on critical processes for Dev Units, Low-Rate Production, and outsourcing Production. This role is an excellent opportunity to apply Master Craftsman's skills as Optisys doubles in size. 

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. This role is located at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake City, UT, and reports to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

Current US Citizenship or Current Permanent Green Card Holder

5 to 10 Years of Aerospace Experience / Production Shop Experience

Demonstrated expertise in Production product data and computer systems.  This includes Engineering Drawings with GD&T/ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)-shop interface / Methods of Manufacture and Work Instructions.

 

Experienced at successfully performing shop processes to produce Aerospace products. (Good with your hands, mechanically inclined.  Good at metal work.)

 

Proven abilities to lead continuous quality improvements implemented in Production Processes.  Lean/5-S/6-Sigma is a plus.

Self-starter who proactively looks for opportunities to add value to the company.
