Senior RF & Electromagnetics Engineer

At Optisys this senior engineer will be working with the latest technology everyday. Some people call it magic.

 

We are looking for an antenna designer who designs antenna components with waveguide technology.

 

We prefer an expertise in HFSS with recent experience OR an expertise in CST with HFSS experience. 

 

This role is for an individual who is open to additional learning and would relish the opportunity to immerse themselves in both project work and deeper RF theory to support our extensive IRAD activities.

 

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design.

The successful candidate will directly report to the CTO, Michael Hollenbeck.

 

The preference is for this role is to work at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake, to support the day to day running of projects and production, however, part/full time remote working would be considered.

 

This role is an opportunity to work on the leading edge of metal 3D printed antennas, which are a novel class of antennas that allow for pushing the limits of what physics allows in antenna design. Optisys antennas can be found all around the world and out of this world in space. This position requires creativity and exploration of difficult design challenges to solve problems that have not been encountered before.

Quality Assurance Inspector

This is an opportunity to work in an exciting new field and strengthen your expertise for inspecting challenging parts. 

 

The QA Inspector needs to inspect parts thoroughly but with efficiency. They need to be able to judge which features are most critical to check and be able to do so correctly. They need to balance thoroughness in the critical areas, spot fundamental problems, all while meeting tight schedules.

 

This is a new role that reports to Rob Smith and is due to the exponential increase in proposal and program work. 

 

This role is at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake.

Senior Systems Engineer Manager

 

The immediate need is for a systems engineer who has the breadth to write technical proposals and manage customer relations.

As a career path option, this person could become the leader of the Optisys Program Office and build the Optisys Program  Department over the next 12-18 months. 

As another career path option, a strong technical candidate could become the leader of the Optisys Systems Engineering Group.

This is a new role that reports to Clinton Cathey and is due to the exponential increase in proposal and program work. 

The preference for this role is to work at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake, however, working remotely  would be considered.

Summary for Director of Operations  

Optisys is maturing and expanding. We are seeking expertise in manufacturing operations and quality control to train our team, establish standard operating procedures, identify and capture relevant quality metrics, improve our yield, and reduce our overall costs. 

This role is for a manufacturing professional who can start with a rough foundation of fabrication processes and build a robust system of manufacturing and quality systems. 

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. The successful candidate will report directly to the COO, Rob Smith and manage approximately 10 indirect reports. As the company grows, this individual will define positions, hire, and expand the team in accordance with company goals. This role is located at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake City, UT.

We are seeking someone who may have been a manufacturing manager and is ready to take on more responsibilities. They will have the opportunity to flex their technical muscles to bring greater order and efficiency into a fast growing company. They will have the opportunity to create systems and processes that will be exciting to watch as they improve the company output.

Mechanical Engineer lll

 

We are seeking more mechanical design engineering talent. This role is in an exciting new field of design for additive manufacturing.

 

Optisys is pushing the envelope of what can be done with additive manufacturing and it requires a good deal of mechanical engineering expertise to get it right.  

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design.

 

This role is located at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake City, UT.

 

We are seeking someone who can quickly learn how to design for this particular process and product set. They will need to document the design and process such that it is robust and can produce repeatable, successful results.
